Translation Style Guide Development
Translation style guides play an important role in ensuring translation consistency and quality. Although style guides can differ slightly simply because they are unique to the needs of each company, they typically include instructions on whether product names should be translated or left in English, preferred international currency, number and date formats, ways to handle acronyms/abbreviations, and capital/lowercase letter conventions. If requested, M3 will work with you to develop or update your company’s style guide.
Translation Memory Management
While we translating your materials, all translations along with source text will be stored in a database called “Translation Memory”. M3 will design the best schema for your Translation Memory for our first time cooperation and keep on using it to reduce your localization cost. During our relationship, M3 will carefully maintain them for your company, because it’s important intangible assets and intellectual property of your company. Even if you end up bussiness with us, our internal policy will keep your Translation Memory for at least two (2) years in case you needed. When you asked, we’ll transfer all Translation Memory that we pocessed.
